Job Title: Neurology Nurse Practitioner

Location: UVM Medical Center, Burlington, Vermont

Job Description:
The Neurology Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive healthcare to patients in various states of health or illness, collaborating with one or more physicians. Care will be delivered following agreed-upon guidelines and in coordination with the Headache Neurology team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct both in-person and virtual clinics for patients.
• Perform injection procedures as part of patient treatment plans.
• Support outpatient services for the headache neurology team.
• Assist with peer-to-peer insurance denial appeals.
• Collaborate with a team of 2 other Nurse Practitioners, 4 Neurologists, and 2 Registered Nurses to provide optimal patient care.

Education:

• Must be an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) who has successfully completed a formal education program approved by the Vermont Board of Nursing or a state or national accrediting agency, which prepares nurses to function in advanced nursing practice.

Experience:

• Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner is desired.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.

Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
