Radiation Therapist - Radiation Oncology

PRN - Variance in schedule

Job Description:

• Under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist, the radiation therapy technologist treats patients with ionizing radiation accurately and efficiently per physician’s prescription.

• Maintains the ability to instruct/demonstrate to radiation therapy students’ proper techniques for treatment of cancer patients.

• May assist with training of students and communication regarding students among all areas within cancer care services.

• May perform other duties relating to instructing and monitoring radiation therapy students.

Requirements:

• Active licensure through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy required.

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registration required.

• BLS from American Heart Association (AHA) required within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using Aria and Varian linear accelerators.
