Purpose of Role

Delivery of the Market Capability Plan - Leads the Southern Europe Faculty and partners with L&D COE, SE HR and relevant leaders to diagnose, define and deploy learning experiences that will drive required performance outcomes for the market.

Complexity

Partnership with global (L&D COE) and local teams (SE HR), creating strong networks across the 5 markets to deliver a robust and sustainable capability support model that are consistent to both the SE and country needs, enabling people and business performance and growth.

Leadership and Decision-Making

  • Leadership of the cross-functional Southern Europe Faculty.
  • Mobilises and deploys Functional Faculties, engaging and upskilling leaders and SMEs to deliver required capability interventions.
  • Influences decisions on capability interventions, resources, and budget allocation.

Top Accountabilities

  • Builds the Market Capability Strategy in service of the SE Growth Ambition Leads a rigorous Market capability diagnose and develops the capability plan, in line with the strategy defined.
  • Deploys sustainable learning solutions against the biggest priorities defined in the plan, building specific skills and applied knowledge to maximise performance impact.
  • Drives activation of global programmes via Faculty, collaborating with Learning CoE and other Capability Managers across the region.
  • Excellent capability operations management, providing timely, accurate, and insightful information on capability related needs, opportunities and activities (participation, application, impact), as well as operating to standard planning, budgeting, and reporting processes and controls.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Experienced in Capability management or Business Partnering, shaping learning strategy and influencing, advising, and aligning Leadership teams. This expertise will represent a distinct advantage if in a commercial environment.
  • An innate curiosity to understand what drives value for the business and put in place interventions and recommendations for this purpose, enabling the leaders to add value through seeing each scenario through the lens of both the business objective and the people agenda.
  • Able to build strong networks and relationships, successful collaboration, coaching and influencing across a variety of stakeholders at all levels, resulting in strong and positive outcomes. Ability to build and maintain genuine relationships based on mutual trust & respect.
  • Ability to understand and drive insights from data, analysing to measure impacts, assess plans, diagnose trends and support decision making on capability priorities, opportunities, and future requirements linked to business performance outcomes.
  • Ability to excel when dealing with ambiguity, complexity and working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and matrixed environment.
  • Experienced in change and project management (including influencing change), using industry standard tools and techniques.

  • Languages: English as a must. Other Southern Europe language valued, especially Spanish.
