The Mechanical Systems, Externals, and Nacelles (MSEN) Transmissions Design and Analysis team is looking for a summer Intern for 2025. The team is responsible for performing design and analysis on both commercial and military engine program gearboxes. Specifically the team is responsible for the design and development of PW's innovative Fan Drive Gear System in addition to engine accessory gear boxes used to power electrical generators, fuel pumps, and hydraulic pumps.
What You Will Do
- Perform design and analysis of gear systems in support of all phases of product life cycle including preliminary design, detailed design, development testing and validation, certification, delivery support, and post engine production & service support.JOB IS FROM: nursingjobs.siteVIEW
- Monitor gear system rig health during component validation testing, perform test data-reduction and analysis, and confirm test objectives are met.
- Support field investigations
- Participate with the transmissions design and analysis representative on multi-discipline teams to provide design solutions that balance customer requirements for durability, performance, cost and weight.
- Work with suppliers to integrate work scope into engine program deliverables.

Qualifications You Must Have
- Enrolled in a degree program in Engineering
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
Qualifications We Prefer
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience
