Job Description

Summary
The Engagement Associate provides supportive services for clients who are experiencing problems as a result
of a behavioral health or substance use disorder. Services include interventions based on current treatment plan, crisis intervention, and psychosocial assessment. Engagement Specialist will also work to coordinate services with internal and external service providers. The Engagement Specialist functions as a member of an interdisciplinary team for client care and works effectively in a multicultural setting. The Engagement Specialist works under the regular supervision and direction of the Team Leader or designee.

Minimum Requirements
1. High School Degree or GED.
2. Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
3. Ability to work with multicultural staff and clientele.
4. Must have personal lived experience with recovery from a behavioral health disorder and/or substance use disorder
5. Must have a CPS credential (Certified Peer Specialist) through the Missouri Credentialing Board, or obtain CPS credential within 90 days of the hiring date. Certification must be kept current to maintain assignment to this position.
6. Must have reliable transportation


Preferred:
1. Two to four years of direct Behavioral Health experience in coaching, support and behavioral intervention and working on interdisciplinary team.
2. Active Missouri Certified Peer Specialists Credentials
