Internship Overview:
Are you a motivated and ambitious student with a passion for marketing? Get ready to embark on a summer internship that will enhance your skills, provide valuable hands-on experience, and set the stage for a successful career! The Product Marketing Intern will gain the opportunity to work within Duke Energy's Product Marketing & Acquisition Team. Product Marketing & Acquisition is Duke Energy’s Full-Service Marketing and Promotion Team and serves as a strategic consultant and execution arm for Products and Services and Customer Experience.
What You’ll Do:
Review marketing and communication plans and assist in campaign development for customer facing programs and products, including creative strategy and channel alignment.
Assist in the analysis of marketing channels and analytics.
Assist in providing insight into internal and/or external challenges and regulatory issues.
Review and study internal and external research and marketing trends that help support assigned marketing strategy project.
Publish and present written Point of Views (POVs) and other strategy documents to marketing professionals and key stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of operational and informational communications and campaigns.
Basic Qualifications
Currently enrolled as a rising junior, senior, or graduate student in an accredited college or university program
Pursuing degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business (concentration in Marketing or Management)
Cumulative GPA of at least 2.75.
Must not graduate prior to August 2025
Desired Qualifications
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Demonstrated effective leadership skills through on-campus, extracurricular/volunteer activities, etc.
Ability to work independently and/or part of a team to meet critical milestones.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office products
Capable of building, developing and maintaining positive working relationships with key clients and subject matter experts while working in a team environment.
Understanding of basic marketing theories and principles.
Working Conditions:
Hybrid mobility classification - work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations. In office 2-3 days per week.
Housing stipend available when applicable
Many of our opportunities require a 40-hour work week.
Internship summer session length is 10-12 weeks
Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment
