Role:
The Hospice House Manager is responsible for direct oversight of all aspects of patient care provided by hospice house staff members twenty-four hours a day, seven days per week, including case management, fiscal accountability, risk, compliance, and personnel management.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in health related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Current Florida license as RN, current active single-state out-of-state nurse license, or current active multistate/compact nurse license
• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience
• Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory and/or management experience

• Active BLS for healthcare professionals from the American Heart Association or Red Cross. Employees hired prior to 12/31/2022 must obtain certificate prior to 3/31/2023
• Previous oncology, hospice or home health experience preferred
• Certification from HPNA obtained within two (2) years of taking the position
• Intermittent Driver - Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance per Company policy
• Demonstrated skills and ability in: fiscal accountability, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal relations, problem solving, individual team motivation, planning and organizing, conflict resolution and other leadership qualities
• Ability to use equipment with visual and auditory mechanisms

Job Responsibilities:
• Provides oversight to Hospice House operations 24/7.
• Monitors Pyxis OverRide Reports and medication inventories to determine drug diversion.
• Implements systems and processes to evaluate actual care delivered to patients compared to needs documented on the Plan of Care.
• Schedules staff/provides coverage/assistance to department, as needed, and as acuity dictates to ensure continuity of care to all patients.
• Facilitates seamless coordination of patients’ care between all parties, internal and external.
• Monitors and provides feedback and direction on care plan documentation to staff members.
• Administers direct nursing care to select patients, as deemed appropriate, to maintain own clinical competence and/or to assess particular patient requirement and to provide modeling to staff.
• Ensures timely documentation is present to support appropriate level of care for all patients.
• Collaborates with other departments, i.e., teams, Pharmacy, Infusion Program, DME, HospiceHelp24, Continuous Care Program, other Hospice Houses and Patient Access/Admissions, to ensure all patient care needs are met.
• Ensure timely attention to and effective solutions for customer concerns and complaints.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
