Key Position Details:
Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute - Vascular Wound Care Clinic is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join the practice.
- .8 FTE position. No weekends, no holidays, no call.
- Outpatient position.
- This role will provide services at our St. Paul clinic located at United Hospital.
- Team provides advanced wound care therapies for the full scope of wounds.
- EMR: Epic is one of the most comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) systems in the nation.

Job Description:Principle Responsibilities:
- Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
- Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
- Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
- Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.
- Refers for specialty care when determined.
- Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Physician Assistant scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear.
- Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff.
- Acts as resource to members of the team.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Preferred Qualifications:
- New graduates may be considered. Minimum 2 years of experience in wound care preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Master's degree completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program required.
- Wound education required through WebWOC within 12 months of hire.
- Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire.
- Certified Nurse Practitioner - ANCC or AANP certification within specialty required upon hire.
- BLS certification required within 180 days of hire.
- Drug Enforcement Administration upon hire required.
