The primary purpose of this role is to provide nursing support to the mobile clinical provider(s) and ensure quality of care to the individuals served by the mobile OP Clinic. This position will direct, coordinate and directly supports the day-to-day functions of the mobile clinic. Maintains and efficiently run mobile clinic by arranging tasks, staff and other resources to accomplish the work; also providing administrative supervision to the staff who works within the Mobile Clinic program.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide services through the Mobile Clinic to assist individuals in the community to get linked to and access needed services. 

  • Schedule individuals for crisis and assessment services and triage individuals who present with emergent medical and/or psychiatric problems.

  • Perform clinical intakes with individuals requesting services, coordinate with screening/referral and individuals to ensure continuity of care.

  • Complete documentation required to ensure that the medical record for crisis and assessment services meets state and accreditation standards, coordinating with STR, psychiatrists/nurse practitioners, providers, and crisis services staff.JOB IS FROM: nursingjobs.siteVIEW

  • Schedule individuals for the Injection Clinic as well as doing injections of psychotropic medication, educate and support individuals about medication. 

  • Maintain positive working relationships within the communities served, including individuals, families, staff, monitoring and licensing agencies, organizations, and funders.

  • Develop relationships and referral resources in the communities supported by the Mobile Clinic.

  • Provide support as needed to meet the emotional, physical, and medical needs of each person supported.

  • Assist the individual supported in conjunction with other team members in developing goals in areas of need and assist in developing person-centered plans.

  • Actively function as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team to provide the highest quality of care to the individual. 

  • Communicate needs and progress of the person supported to supervisor and other professionals as requested.

  • Input electronic medical record documentation, including checking for Medicaid, IPRS, and Medicare status of individual receiving services.

  • Provide correspondence to individuals and community providers.

  • Assist in responsibility of daily driving of 30 foot Mobile clinic unit (similar to a recreational vehicle (RV))

  • Responsible for daily checks and maintenance of vehicle (inclusive of water and waste) as per checklist and procedures. Other tasks include but not limited to stocking of care supplies on the Mobile Clinic at start of shift and transfer of unused supplies into main building at the end of shift.

  • Ensure Mobile Clinic is secure at end of shift

  • Assist new staff and/or current staff with orientation, mentoring, and training

  • Attend and actively participate in meetings and training as required. Maintain certification in all agency, state and federal training requirements.

  • Maintain trainings as required and requested

  • Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations

  • Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures

  • Complete all other relevant responsibilities assigned by the supervisor

Associates: Nursing (Required)

Certifications We're Looking For:

RN - NC Board of Nursing

Experience We're Looking For:

Psychiatric Nursing Experience, Supervisory Experience

Schedule:

Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm)
