The successful candidate:

  • Schedule: PRN On-call and availability needed to work rotating weekends

  • Provided spiritual resources for the support of COH patients, their families, and staff.  Provides spiritual counseling, conducting worship services.

  • Demonstrated an understanding of the issues surrounding grief, suffering, and life stages that encourages as open expression of thoughts and feelings.

  • Coordinate the efforts of the pastoral care staff in the absence of the Director. 

  • Communicates with patients and families to provide confidential counseling and motivational support.

  • Responds to all on-call crisis, code blue, and urgent and sensitive matters with patients and loved ones.  

  • Assists patients, their family, and staff with Advance Directives.  Places completed Advance Directives in patients’ chart within 24 hours.

Experience

  • 2-3 years pastoral care experience

Education Requirements

  • Completion of Masters in Divinity preferred

  • Master in Divinity coursework in progress minimum

  • 1 Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) required. More units preferred
