Use a variety of procedures and instruments to diagnose and treat heart disease and vascular problems. Perform electrocardiograms and may set up stress tests and Holter monitoring. With experience and additional training, a technician can perform more diagnostic tasks, using sonography and other types of non-invasive procedures as well as advanced life support techniques.Job Duties:

- Perform more diagnostic tasks, using sonography and other types of non-invasive procedures as well as advanced life support techniques.
- Performs optimal patient care and adheres to accepted medical guidelines.
- Able to perform all procedures within scope of service and under the guidelines of the ACC and American Registered Radiologic Technologist.
- Assists in maintaining cardiac Cath lab equipment and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Helps maintain adequate inventory for Cardiac Cath Lab.
- Assists Cardiovascular Nurse in providing safe nursing care.
- Promptly reports problems relating to patients, staffing, equipment or work methods.
- Demonstrates awareness of sensitivity to patient's rights and seeks ways to reduce risk.
- Actively participates in opportunities for patient care improvement.

- Hours: Rotating start time: 7:00 a.m., 7:30 a.m., 8:00 am.
- On Call - 1-2 days per week, and every third weekend

Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 6 months - American Heart Association (AHA), Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body, Certified Radiology Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) within 2 years - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)Skills:
