Assistant Regional Senior Supervisor for Mental Health
About the Position:
YAI has an opening for a full-time Assistant Regional Senior Supervisor for Mental Health within our headquarters in New York, NY or at one of the other clinic locations. The position at YAI provides the opportunity to gain exposure and experience working within Center for Specialty Therapy and Premier Healthcare Article 16 clinics. This includes providing Mental Health services in the Article 16 clinics.

Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Provides individual, family, collateral or group psychotherapy to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Conducts intakes and evaluations prior to assigning cases to other therapists
Participates in patient communication and interdisciplinary care planning for individual patient needs
Completes written progress notes and treatment plans contemporaneously using Electronic Health Records
Participates in scheduled supervision
Meets monthly productivity expectations
Checks emails daily and responds to them in a timely manner
Completes annual mandated OPWDD trainings as required by the agency
Participates as a member of the wider clinic multidisciplinary team (medical doctors, nurses, psychiatrists etc.)
Actively participates as a member of the Behavioral Health team which includes about a hundred Mental Health Clinicians in four of the boroughs
Provides clinical supervision to other clinicians
Proof-reads and gives feedback on progress notes, treatment plans or evaluations
Trains new and existing staff on clinical and compliance issues
Oversees Mental Health Clinicians for that borough
Provide administrative oversight for clinicians working in the region regarding productivity and compliance (documentation and training)
Manage the flow of cases in the region including case assignment, transfers and potential waitlists
Address concerns raised by clients, families and staff where appropriate
Minimum Qualification Requirements including education, experience, licensure/certification, etc. and essential physical capabilities (e.g. lifting, assisting lifting, standing, etc.)

All Assistant Regional Senior Supervisor must meet the following minimum requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Masters level Social Work or Psychology or Counseling program
Holds a professional license (Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Psychologist)
Several years of experience working with individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities
Several years of experience in a supervisory capacity
Preferred Qualification Requirements (desired requirements beyond MQRs above)
Proficiency in a second language a plus
Willing to take initiative
Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills
Highly flexible personality type
Proficient in Electronic Health Record
Excellent writing skills
Exceptional Organization skills
Compensation:
$65,000.00 annually
