Under the direction of nursing leadership, the Health Unit Coordinator facilitates unit organization and patient care by assisting in the coordination of patient, nursing, physician, and other health care provider office and clerical activities.Posting Specifics

Shift Details: Full time, Day shift ( 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks, 2 summer and 2 winter holiday are required)
Rate of Pay: Entry is $17.60, depending on experience.
Additional Details: Shift differentials available for evenings, nights and weekends
CNA Scope of Practice
Respond to patient care needs by answering call lights, assisting patients with hygiene care and nourishment, obtaining vital signs, and communicating constructively, effectively and timely with members of the care team.- Check and document patient vitals, glucose, inputs and outputs.- Assist nurses and physicians within scope and competency.- Actively participate in meeting patient experience goals.- Assist with patient transfers, admissions and discharges as directed and in compliance with the principles of safe patient handling.- Demonstrate and adhere to the standards of infection prevention.
Minimum Qualifications
Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of practice- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire (with prior approval)
Preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent- At least one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting
Physical Requirements:
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).- and -May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.Location:
