Saint Mary’s Hospital’s Inpatient Surgery Department is a 23-bed unit that provides care for various types of surgeries pre and post operatively. Surgical procedures include but not limited to bariatric, orthopedic, ortho-trauma, neuro-spine, mastectomies, urological, gynecological, and gastroenterology surgeries.

What you will do

• Provide hands-on bedside care of patients with complex surgical needs as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• JOB IS FROM: nursingjobs.siteVIEWDevelop plans of care and facilitate education with a focus on restoring patients to their pre-surgical state of wellness

• Assisting exceptional care for patients who require a stay overnight or longer after surgeries.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program.  BSN graduates preferred.

• Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut.

• Certification: BLS required. (AHA/ARC)

Work Schedule: 

• Full-Time –36 hours – Nights
• 12-hour shift 7p to 7:30a.
• Every third weekend, Holidays required

• Face paced environment.

• Dedicated and specialized team of RNs, LPNs, and PCAs working together with the hospitalist and specialty providers.
