2025 Summer Intern - Antibody Engineering
Department Summary
The Antibody Engineering department focuses on discovering and developing transformative antibody drugs through innovative science and cutting-edge technology. We are looking for a talented intern to collaborate with passionate and driven teams, contributing to the advancement of antibody therapeutics for unmet medical needs. In this role, the intern will partner with Antibody Engineering scientists to support the creation of novel antibody technologies and discovery platforms. This position provides hands-on experience of antibody discovery, engineering and development.
This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site.
The Opportunity
Application of protein engineering techniques for the optimization of antibody properties.
Analysis of antibody binding via SPR and other techniques.
Preparation and delivery of oral or written presentations to share findings with project team collaborators.
Program Highlights
Intensive 12-weeks, full time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
Program start dates are in May/June 2025.
A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.
Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

Who You Are (Required)
Required Education
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student).
Required majors
Biomedical engineering or related disciplines.
Required skills
Hands-on experience with core molecular biology techniques (cloning, cell culture, biochemical assays etc.).
Proven capability to quickly learn new methods, effectively solve problems, and thrive both independently and as part of the team.
Exceptional communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities. Aligns with our culture and core values that shape our actions and decisions: Integrity, Courage, and Passion.
Previous work experience with coding languages, such as C++, MATLAB, Verilog, Python, Java and JavaScript, is desirable.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $23-$31 hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
