Don’t miss the opportunity to join our team at Washington University Department of Urological Surgery! This Staff Nurse position is focused on assisting adult patients with their urological needs including, but not limited to: catheter changes, Cystoscopies, and various other tests and procedures as well as meeting any of the patient’s urological needs. The right candidate will be able to work with a team of RNs, LPNs, Mas, along side of Nurse Practitioners, Physicians Assistants, and Doctors, as well as independently to support patients and providers.This is a weekday, day time position. No weekends! No holidays!
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative and clinical support including taking and recording of vitals, obtaining weights, arranging EKGs or other tests.
- Develops, inputs and manages the master schedule.
- Provides emotional support to clients.
- Speaks with parents, faculty and staff as needed.
- Provides both phone and in-office reception responsibilities.
- Responds to requests for refills of medication.
- Coordinates referrals and administers Patient Assistant Programs as needed.
- Assists with triage for walk-in clients or other students experiencing emotional difficulty.
- Fulfills administrative responsibilities within the department including participation in staff meetings, accurate and timely record keeping, involvement in agency committees and planning.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Missouri RN licensure in accordance with Compact Act.
- Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).

$56,200.00 - $96,100.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
