About the role:
We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurses to join the Cardiac Ward of our world-renowned organisation. Our Registered Nurses are integral members of our multi-disciplinary team and have the opportunity to participate in all learning and development activities and are exposed to the latest surgical and medical approaches, new technologies and integrate methods of patient care.
Working in the Cardiac Ward at SVPHS means working with a leader is Cardiac Care, having pioneered robotic coronary surgery. In 2009, we introduced the first Trans Catheter Aortic Valve Implantation program in Sydney.
Some of the specialties are:
- Interventional Cardiology
- Structural heart intervention
- Cardiac rhythm management
- Heart Failure management
- Cardiac and thoracic surgery
- Advanced cardiac imaging
Your skills and experience:
As an outstanding Registered Nurse, you will be passionate and enthusiastic with the ability to provide high standard of patient centred nursing care.
Your skills will include:
Currently registered as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
Demonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system.
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered or enrolled nurse.
Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads with in a complex environment.
Our requirements:
Criminal record and child protection checks will be conducted and will form part of the selection criteria.
SVHA has a duty of care under work health and safety legislation to eliminate and/or control the risk of transmission of vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) in healthcare settings. You are therefore required to comply with the SVHA Staff Health Screening Immunisation Policy, which, depending on the role you perform in the organisation will require you to undergo mandatory immunisations/vaccinations (including flu vaccinations).
Remuneration:
St. Vincent's Private Hospital Sydney Nurses' EA. Registered Nurse Year 1 – Year 8: $38.09 - $53.49 based on experience level and relevant qualifications + salary packaging + superannuation, exclusive of shift penalties or allowances.
