We currently have exciting opportunities for RNs to work in our Post Anesthesia Care Units!
- The Post Anesthesia Care Units at MGH are comprised of 7 individual critical care areas dedicated to the care of adult and pediatric patients preceding and immediately following surgery and/or procedures requiring anesthesia.
- The unit operates 24 hours per day with Anesthesia and Nurse Practitioner medical coverage.
- Ideally, we are looking for full-time staff with a schedule of 36 or 39 hours per week; comprised of 12 hour shifts inclusive of a day/night rotation. There are some weekend and holiday requirements as well.

Qualifications
- ASN or BSN required, BSN strongly preferred
- Massachusetts RN license
- Minimum of 2 years acute care nursing experience.
- Previous experience in a critical care environment (ED, ICU, PACU) is required
- We cannot consider new graduates at this time.
Job Summary
SummaryAccountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.

-Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.

-Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.
