Clinical Program Coordinator - Chest Pain/STEMI

We are seeking a Clinical Program Coordinator to lead the Heart & Vascular Chest Pain / STEMI(AMI) program. The primary focus of this position is to ensure that Nebraska Medicine meets the ongoing requirements for Chest Pain Center Accreditation through the American College of Cardiology. Oversight includes collaboration across departments and facilitation of Nebraska Medicine's Chest Pain Center Committee in partnership with the current Chest Pain/STEMI Coordinator.  This coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining Nebraska Medicine’s participation in the American College of Cardiology’s CPMI Registry®. Management of the registry requires a detail-oriented approach in data abstraction and a commitment to data reliability and validity. Furthermore, program results and outcomes will be driven by clinical quality and operational improvement efforts. Strong interpersonal skills are required to collaborate with referring providers and EMS partners, in addition to participating in community engagement activities related to Heart Attack care.

Partner with the clinical program leadership to assist with clinical program operations related to performance improvement, education, outreach, and injury prevention activities. Participates in the overall development, implementation and evaluation of the identified program by organizing the services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach to providing care for the injured patient. Work with all departments involved in the care of the identified patient population and their families. Work collaboratively with colleagues to serve as a resource and to support the assessment of care across the regional system.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of five years recent clinical experience required. 
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required (BSN)

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required
• Ability to accomplish multiple tasks and prioritize activities required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with an interdisciplinary team required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office required.
•Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recent experience in identified clinical program specialty preferred. 
• Master's Degree in Science (MS), Arts (MA) or Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Experience with facilitation of educational events or curriculum development preferred.
