The Nursing Operations Coordinator, in collaboration with clinical leadership, focuses on
implementing, administering, and monitoring business operations that support the nursing
process and workforce.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist nurse leaders with overall staffing and scheduling of personnel.
  • Edits time records for accuracy and by the established payroll deadlines
  • Monitors compliance with policies and procedures and brings concerns to leadership.
  • Coordinate with department clinical leaders to identify and equitably fill staffing needs
  • Collaborate with nurse leaders in onboarding new associates.
  • Track and update associate staffing changes (sick calls, on call, overstaff dates and attendance (Kronos)).
  • Collaborate with ancillary departments to support nursing operations and unit needs.
  • Support financial accountability for nursing .
  • Develop and update communication tools.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations.
  • Assist nurse leaders with implementing and monitoring associate and patient satisfaction initiatives.
  • Update databases as needed.
  • Provides support to assigned work units and collaborates with peers as may be needed to accomplish duties for other units.
  • Communicates concerns to leadership for appropriate follow up.
  • Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need.

EDUCATION

Required: ● High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

Required:

● Minimum one (1) year of related administrative or clinical healthcare experience.

Preferred:

● Demonstrated knowledge of Kronos advanced schedule

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$18.29 - $30.54
