The Curriculum Project manager will manage the Curriculum Redesign Taskforce at the School of Nursing in alignment with academic goals and education standards. This position is a fixed-term role that will last approximately 12-18 months. The employee will report directly to the Dean of the School of Nursing. The project is designed to align curriculum with academic goals and education standards. This role will involve coordinating dynamic, multiple-stimuli environment involving multiple teams, monitoring project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, and facilitating communication between stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational, communication, technology (particularly with project management software and data/document management), and leadership skills to support high-level academic initiatives and drive operational excellence.Job Description:
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Project Management:
Coordinate and execute simultaneous curriculum design work for three-degree programs (BSN, MSN, and DNP) and certificates from initiation to completion.
Ensure curriculum work is in alignment with institutional goals, regulatory requirements, national standards, and timelines.
Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with taskforce leaders, faculty, staff, and external partners to coordinate meetings, resources, gather requirements, and monitor progress.
Foster effective teamwork and communication among stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth execution of project goals.
Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates.
Prepare and deliver regular status reports, presentations, and updates to stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication on project progress.
Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive project documentation for all curricula development including, but not limited to timelines, plans of study, syllabi, and evaluation plans.
Process Improvement:
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency in project management, communication, and reporting.
Implement new procedures or technologies to streamline workflows and reduce administrative burden.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all curriculum development initiatives comply with relevant regulatory, institutional, and academic policies and standards.
Stay informed about changes in regulatory requirements and academic best practices to ensure alignment with institutional expectations.
Resource Allocation:
Coordinate the allocation of resources, including faculty, staff, technology, and external vendors, to support the successful execution of curriculum projects.
Monitor resource utilization to ensure projects stay on track and within budget.
Event Coordination:
Organize and manage events related to curriculum development and taskforce activities, such as workshops, invited speakers, and faculty development sessions.
Ensure efficient planning and execution of all event logistics.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, education, or in a related field
Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management.
Preferred Qualifications
Education / Certification:
Master's Degree in related field
PMI or similar certification in project management
Work Experience:
Project Management experience within an academic or education environment.
Budgeting and financial management experience.
Skills:
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

SalaryCompensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
