Location: Center for Advanced Medicine Outpatient ClinicAs a registered nurse in allergy and immunology, this dedicated professional efficiently manages daily clinic operations while directly contributing to patient care. Key responsibilities include overseeing smooth clinic workflows, rooming patients, administering various injections such as allergy immunotherapy, biologics and vaccines, conducting various tests like skin/drug/venom testing and spirometry, as well as facilitating drug desensitization or challenges. They are responsible for preparing weekly patient charts, anticipating specialized testing needs and ensuring adequate supplies to support efficient clinic functioning.

Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the clinic, working to ensure operations are smooth and efficient.
- Actively works in the clinic to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Performs duties including, but are not limited to: rooming patients, administering injections (allergy immunotherapy, biologics, and vaccines), applying skin/drug/venom testing, facilitating drug desensitization or drug challenges, applying patch testing, performing spirometry, administering nebulizer treatments, turning over/cleaning rooms, scheduling injections, etc.
- Performs and/or oversees weekly chart preparation in anticipation of specialized testing, patient volumes, etc. in order to ensure smooth and efficient operations (i.e. know how many drug tests are on the schedule and that testing supplies are available).
- Serves as the first point of contact for site-related patient issues and complaints. Works to resolve issues and/or escalates issues as necessary.
- Manages clinic inventories to ensure adequate supplies are on hand, develops par levels as appropriate, routinely checks expiration dates, and adheres to any other regulatory guidance on supplies (i.e. drug samples, biologic inventory, clinic and allergy specific medical supplies, office supplies, immunotherapy vials, etc.).
- Collaborates with Mixing Supervisor to ensure allergy testing boards and intradermal skin testing trays are maintained and changed every 3 months.
- Delegates and provides oversight of medication refills and prior authorizations, including but not limited to injectable biologics and retail pharmacy medications.
- Assists with clinical nurse coordinator duties when necessary to ensure smooth operations; returning patient communications, refilling prescriptions, etc.
- Assigns and coordinates work activities and duties of staff, orienting/training new staff, and routinely advises administration of work conditions and any performance issues.
- Coordinates patient services with physicians and staff to provide quality care in an effective and timely manner.
- Develops, implements, and ensures west county staff adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Leads, and assists with, other projects and initiatives as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois depending on location in accordance with Compact Act.
- Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).

$56,200.00 - $96,100.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
