About the Opportunity:
St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba is the largest acute private hospital on the Darling Downs. We are a 189-bed facility with highly experienced and skilled staff that work as a team to deliver the highest standard of healthcare to all our patients. Our services include medical, surgical, maternity, paediatric, emergency, cardiac and rehabilitation. We are supported by comprehensive allied health services and advanced medical and diagnostic services. Pathology, radiology and pharmacy are also available on site, and our emergency department is open 24 hours, seven days a week.
We are inviting applications from suitably qualified Registered Nurses wishing to obtain permanent employment within the facility in the role of After Hours Nurse Manager. This position will require successful candidates to ensure provision of high-quality patient care through efficient and effective management of staffing resource and bed management. The role requires provision of effective leadership strategies and coordination of patient flow, whilst upholding the mission of St Vincent’s Health Australia, in an after-hours capacity.

Things that work for us:
Registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) as a Registered Nurse
Applicants with a minimum of five (5) years' RN experience is desirable
Competent in basic and advanced life support
Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders
Ability to motivate, provide leadership and coordination to members of the team, maintaining collaborative and effective relationship with multidisciplinary team members
Ability to lead and implement change in a complex environment and provide clinical practice and care consistent with the mission and philosophy of the facility
Ability to ensure clinical practice is consistent with the standards of ACHS, Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and ANMC guidelines
Ability to effectively coordinate the functioning of the service and provide clinical leadership across the continuum of care
Ability to manage physical and material resources in an after-hours environment
