The Allergy Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) will lead the adult allergy clinical service at BUPA Cromwell Hospital, delivering patient-centered care to those referred to the allergy services.
This role involves providing expert resources for allergy testing and management, developing care pathways and policies, and coordinating food and drug challenges.
The CNS will act as an advocate for allergy patients, offering expert support and advice based on best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide education and support for allergy patients, act as a specialist resource, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and referring consultants.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care programs for patients with allergic conditions, focusing on food allergies.
Support the education and development of clinical staff in managing allergies and anaphylaxis, and mentor junior staff.
Lead discussions in MDT meetings, participate in service developments, and contribute to senior management initiatives.
Work autonomously, manage workload effectively, and contribute to the development and improvement of allergy services.
Use effective communication skills to provide information and reassurance to patients and collaborate with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals.

What you’ll bring:
Registered Nurse with NMC registration
Mentorship Qualification
Evidence of Masters level learning in Foundations of Allergy
Experience working in allergy, including skin prick testing and food challenges.
Experience in developing allergy services and guidelines.
