You will be responsible for building relationships with surrounding universities and learning institutions as well as nursing and allied health leaders. The Nursing Workforce Liaison will source, identify and hire nursing and allied health professionals at all levels to fill vacancies in the Monument Health System. This process includes building relationships, promoting brand awareness, and building recruitment plans to source qualified candidates while managing costs. Additionally, the Nursing Workforce Liaison is responsible for planning, coordinating and facilitating events and fairs.Monument Health offers competitive wages and benefits on qualifying positions. Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Collaborates with Nursing Leadership and Management, along with Allied Health Leadership and interdisciplinary teams to understand position requirements and establish effective and best practice sourcing initiatives. Direct sourcing responsibility also includes building talent pipelines for all Nursing and Allied Health including specialized, hard-to-fill roles.
- Manages all aspects of the recruitment process from early contact with prospective candidates through on-boarding. Follows organization’s recruitment policies and procedures and performs all recruiting activities within the context of legal, economic and political considerations.
- Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external Nursing Professionals, Nursing Schools, Allied Health Professionals key stakeholders, and other Clinical Leaders in person with a particular focus on Eastern South Dakota and surrounding areas.
- Builds and maintains a presence on social sites such as LinkedIn. Joins related industry LinkedIn/Facebook groups, etc., and is active in chats, etc. Participates in the utilization of blogs, professional networking, and group sites to engage candidates.
- Travels to and participates local (focus on Eastern South Dakota and surrounding areas) and national conferences, hiring/job fairs, and other relevant professional nursing and allied health related meetings and events. Responsible for following up on all nursing leads from various sourcing strategies and events. Travel time is expected up to 25% of the time including overnight stays.
- Participates in gathering and preparing data to assess effectiveness of sourcing strategy. Analyzes and reports on sourcing and other talent acquisition metrics to Director of Talent Resourcing.
- Stays up to date on current and emerging technologies to proactively identify new venues and existing databases, networks, associations, and social media for attracting top health care talent.
- Implements best practices to continually screen candidates to determine suitability of candidates to increase the number, speed, and quality of hires.
- Advises candidates in career development, offers advice, and provides insight into an appropriate position match. Identifies resources to help candidates achieve desired positions.
- Responsible planning, oversight, and execution of special events.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements
Required:
Certification - Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
Experience - 5+ years of Nursing Experience
Preferred:
Education - Bachelors degree in Nursing
Experience - 3+ years of Leadership Experience
Physical Requirements: Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.Job Category
