2025 Summer Intern - gRED, Regev Lab
The Opportunity
The project will involve developing a deep learning model capable of analyzing multi-modal data such as microscopy images and omics data. Specifically, this will include intervention-aware modeling to align the two different modalities into the same embedding space. The task can encompass any topic that necessitates merging two different modalities based on shared interventions and can be extended to pathology and omics data modalities as well.JOB IS FROM: nursingjobs.siteVIEW
This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on site.
Program Highlights
Intensive 6 months, full time for at least the first 12 weeks (40 hours per week) paid internship.
Program start dates are in May/June.
A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.
Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.
Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.
Who You Are
Required Education
- Must be pursuing a PhD Degree (enrolled student)
Required Majors
Computer Science or a related technical field, Biotechnology
Required Skills
Excellent programming skills in some common deep learning frameworks, such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in developing and applying Generative models for scientific applications
Familiarity with ML topics such as diffusion models and LLMs
Familiarity with Biological problems such as sequence design, perturbation biology, and target discovery

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position in California is $50.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
