Job Summary
Compiling and organizing health care data •Analyzing data to assist in delivering optimal health care management and decision-making support the development of the personal health record strategy, associated data infrastructure and vendor relationships •Conceptualize and develop analytical systems that meet business needs. •Describe and disseminate significance of analytic results of business decision making and provide recommendations to senior leaders. •Lead analytics related to health information exchange, personal health records’ data infrastructure and other data needs. •Lead design, analysis, and interpretation of various data sources to meet health data strategy goals including but not limited to creation of personal health records. •Support strategic planning around health data analytics including identification of appropriate data sources, integration, and quality assessment. •Take hands on role on issues related to interoperability, data capabilities and data readiness. •Develop appropriate dashboards and reporting tools to support health data analytics. •Using health care data to achieve administrative needs and goals. •Understanding data storage and data sharing methods •Investigating data to find patterns and trends. •Understanding health care business operations •Utilizing different data sources for analyses •Converting data into usable information that is easy to understand. •Developing reports and presentations •Communicating analytic insights to management use tools to create and continuously update reports on dashboards, and design analytic performance and business performance monitoring programs. •Design measurement programs for digital media, including videos, texts, contents and propose consistent implementation across platforms including data collection, transformation, and dashboards. •Generate insights on how various data points are and should be connected to create models for predicting future behaviors of media and marketing campaigns. •Design ROI studies and do the analysis, with program recommendations and answers to client questions. •Uncover opportunities in marketing and products.Majors: Data Science, Economics, Health Analytics

Interns will receive professional coaching and participate in team building exercises. Weekly leadership forums are required where the intern will participate in open discussions regarding the corporate business and culture.
Full-time Arkansas BlueCross BlueShield employees are not eligible for internships. Reference letters are not requiered.
Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Intern I
1. Sophomore year in college (At least 30 credit hours but fewer than 60 credit hours).
2. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
3. A minimum of 6.0 college credit hours in one of the requested disciplines.
5. Intern must live in Arkansas during the internship program.
Intern II
1. Junior year in college (At least 60 credit hours but fewer than 90 credit hours).
2. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
3. A minimum of 12.0 college credit hours in one of the requested disciplines.
4. Intern must live in Arkansas during the internship program.
Intern III
1. Senior year in college (At least 90 credit hours).
2. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
3. A minimum of 18.0 college credit hours in one of the requested disciplines.

Intern IV
1. Bachelor’s degree in requested discipline or a related degree if applicable
2. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
3. Intern must live in Arkansas during the internship program (Relocation expense will not be paid.)
