Job Description

Role Overview: 

 

Brookfield Asset Management is looking to add a full-time intern to the Renewable Power and Transition team (London office), for a duration of 3 months betweeJOB IS FROM: nursingjobs.siteVIEWn May-September 2025, who will work closely with the Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) team.  

 

The position provides an excellent opportunity to work on implementation of the impact and sustainability strategy across the Renewable Power and Transition business, including the Brookfield Global Transition Fund (BGTF) and Catalytic Transition Fund (“CTF”), and to interact with and support the investment team network. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Work with the ESG team to support the implementation of our impact and sustainability strategy for new investments and our portfolio businesses. 

  • Research and prepare reports on sustainability and impact protocols and frameworks, and best practices, technology, policy, and regulatory aspects of sustainability topics. 

  • Provide insights and perspectives on investor’s needs, the market more broadly and benchmarking commitments of other asset managers. 

  • Support the ESG and Investment Teams in ESG and Impact due diligence for new investments.  

  • Support with preparing Fund materials and responses to due diligence questions and other reporting requests from LPs. 

  • Support reporting on ESG performance by evaluating KPI data, and assessments against ESG and impact frameworks. 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree preferably in sustainability, business, finance, accounting, or economics. 

  • Previous M&A, management consulting, or ESG work experience is beneficial. 

Technical Skills 

  • Outstanding research, analytical and critical thinking skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, working in a fast-paced environment to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. 

  • Understanding of sustainability trends and best practice including in decarbonisation, human rights, biodiversity, water and circularity. 

  • Knowledge of ESG disclosure frameworks (GHG Protocol, TCFD, SASB, CDP and GRI) and regulations (SFDR, CSRD). 

  • Familiarity with impact measurement and management frameworks (OPIM, Impact Frontiers, SDG Impact) would be beneficial. 

  • Self-motivated, proactive and demonstrates initiative. 

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
