Registered Nurse, 3GH, Surgical-Telemetry /Orthopedic-Neuro-Spine unit | $30,000 Sign-On Bonus for qualifying candidates
Unit Overview:
3 GH is a 37 bed post operative surgical unit focusing on care of the orthopedic, neuro/spine patient population. This includes but is not exclusive to elective hip and knee replacements, fractures, shoulder repairs and replacement, foot, ankle and hand surgery, as well as neuro spine surgeries such as laminectomies, discectomy, anterior and posterior fusions as well as post craniotomies and neurovascular surgeries. The unit has an aggressive and comprehensive ERAS and pain management program and has been accredited by the joint commission as a Total Joint Center for Excellence. The goal is to provide excellent, high quality evidenced based care in an environment that promotes healing and recovery utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach with the priority focus always on the patient.

Job Description:
The Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.

- As a clinical nurse, this individual spends majority of his/her time (> 50%) coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through: provision of nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge activities; provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable, etc.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:
- Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college/university or an associate degree with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience required. (In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and less than ten years’ experience, an associate degree in nursing will be acceptable for initial hire with the understanding that the individual must be enrolled within 12 months in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.)
- Basic Life Support
- ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
