Intern, Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & MuseumDepartment:
Libraries | Special Collections and Area Studies-JMIntern will focus with arrangement and description activities for cartoon library materials. The intern will be responsible for processing and creating a finding aid for several small backlogged collections. The duties included are appraisal of several small backlogged collections; writing a processing plan to organize the materials in the collections; suggest an intellectual arrangement; physically sorting archival materials; rehousing collection in appropriate archival containers; writing an encoded online Finding aid; and filling collection-level cataloging templates to aid in discoverability of newly processed collections
Responsibilities are moderately technical or complex and have a high degree of responsibility and judgment. Must demonstrate excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, ability to work in a professional environment. Ability to work with and communicate effectively to direct activities to other students’ employees. Requires significant amount of specialized training or experience. Represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.
