The Senior Nursing Educator plans, directs, coordinates, evaluates, develops, and/or delivers training and education programs for professional nursing personnel.  The Senior Nursing Educator work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Nursing Educator develops educational goals and plans for new associate orientation, ongoing training, and professional development.  Training programs may include, but not be limited to, Care Management, Utilization Management, and/or Compliance. RN licensure is required at all levels. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Key Contributions:

  • Training Delivery/Administration: Responsible for delivering training to clinical and nonclinical staff after initial onboarding; executes on training evaluation and analyzes results; makes recommendations for improvement based on analysis of results; works with process improvement to create processes and provide direction on training and learning management tasks; evaluates ability of trainees to perform needed skills in a virtual environment; provides coaching and feedback to associates

  • Subject Matter Expertise Coordination: Develop/leverage subject expertise on systems and processes that support Humana Healthy Horizons National Clinical Operations Team; builds relationships with other subject matter experts and engages them when appropriate in order to contribute content for learning design and development efforts; develops cross-functional relationships with other line learning functions in order to leverage existing content and learning products to meet clinical needs; shares information and content development for clinical curriculum to other areas that support the clinical area.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, BSN

  • Active Registered Nurse Licensure (RN) in the state of Florida or a compact license without disciplinary action

  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in case management

  • Knowledge of adult learning theory including planning, developing of curriculum, training, and facilitation

  • Process Improvement experience

  • Ability to analyze results to improve learning

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentation skills

  • Problem solver with a proven ability to lead in a fast paced, highly complex organization

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and influence all levels of the organization, including senior/executive level leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Clinical experience in utilization management using MCG

  • Advanced degree

  • Compliance experience

  • Knowledge of managed care

Workstyle Remote work at home

Preferred Location: Florida

Alternate Location: U.S. Must be able to work Eastern Time Zone

Schedule Monday through Friday 8:30-5:00 PM Eastern and as needed to support business

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$76,800 - $105,800 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
