Procter & Gamble's Corporate Function organization is seeking a highly motivated PhD intern to join our team based in Mason, Ohio. This internship opportunity offers an outstanding chance to contribute to the development of methods for characterizing high impact Ingredients produced via synthetic biology approach using state-of-art analytical instrumentations.

Job Descriptions

Collaborate with a team of biologists and chemists to develop and execute analytical assays that characterize the high value ingredients in terms of their composition, structure, purity, and concentration.

Conduct sample preparation, including wet chemistry, liquid-liquid extraction, and other relevant techniques, to ensure high-quality samples for characterization.

Develop and execute high-throughput analytical methods that enable the quantification of metabolites and other small molecules, providing insights into metabolic fluxes and cellular metabolism to enable optimization efforts.

Collaborate with data scientists on modeling and visualizing analytical data.

Document and communicate research findings effectively through presentations and reports.

Job Qualifications

Currently pursuing a PhD in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, etc.).

Experience with analytical measurements (i.e. mass spectrometry and chromatography) is preferred.

Basic knowledge of wet chemistry and sample preparation.

Passionate about the hands-on experiment work.

Proficiency in data processing and analysis techniques is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Effective communication and presentation skills.
