Job Description Summary:
The Administrative Nurse Manager assumes responsibilities for the stroke network's daily operations, management of ASLS team, and the eICU stroke network support associates. They are responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the delivery of evidence-based patient care in a cost effective manner. The Manager operationalizes the Nursing Philosophy along with the mission, vision, values, goals and objectives of OhioHealth. They are accountable and responsible for administrative and fiscal management of the department and in meeting the goals in all four quadrants of the balanced scorecard at the unit/department level. In addition, they will contribute significantly to the overall goals and objectives of the organization.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Current Basic Life Support Provider
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Ohio.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Process improvement skills.
Project management skills.
Skills in computer applications as appropriate to area(s) of responsibility. Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships, verbal and written communication, management, adult education and nursing practice standards. Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience.
Previous leadership experience such as precepting, charge role, clinical lead role, mentoring, or department committee leadership.
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
Master of Science with a focus in nursing or from a program including organizational science and management concepts.
Certification in nursing administration and/or specialty area.
Advance training in Neurology or Stroke, or further education in leadership, administration, or adult education.
1-2 years of management experience.
LOCATION
This is a hybrid working environment: 2 days from home, 3 days onsite. Onsite locations include various care sites and office buildings within Central Ohio. Onsite days are flexible.
Hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5:30pm. No Weekends, holidays as needed depending on coverage needs.
