Registered Nurse (RN) – Women’s Care/Obstetrics

A Registered Nurse (RN) implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. - Assessment and identification of patient needs and implementation of appropriate interventions considering the needs of patient populations per department scope of service.
- Delegation of nursing care activities and provisions of supervision; establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently.
- Has access to medication storage areas as required for job tasks. Follows Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
- Completion and maintenance of BLS.
- ACLS & PALS (or ENPC) within 6 months of hire.
- NRP within 3-6 months of hire
- Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses Basic, Intermediate, and/or Advanced Fetal Monitoring within 6-9 months of hire and maintenance thereafter.
- STABLE Course, as assigned.
