Sentara Hospice is currently hiring a full time Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Chesapeake team.  

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. Requirements:

  • RN-Associate's Degree OR
  • RN-Bachelor's Level Degree OR
  • RN-Diploma (Non-degree) OR
  • RN-Doctorate Level Degree OR
  • RN-Master's Level Degree
  • Required: Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • 1 year Nursing experience preferred

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse develops, implements and evaluates plans of care for specific patient populations. Coordinates and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care. Possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Additional experience for specialty areas may be required. Nursing experience preferred.

Registered Nurse License (RN) - Nursing License - Compact/Multi-State License is required

Hospital at Home RN is only for SNGH Hospital at Home or SLH Hospital at Home

Qualifications:

N-2YR - RN-Associate's Degree (Required), N-3YR - RN-Diploma (Non-degree) (Required), N-4YR - RN-Bachelor's Level Degree (Required), N-6YR - RN-Master's Level Degree, N-DN - RN-Doctorate Level Degree

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Registered Nurse (RN) Single State - Nursing License - North Carolina, Registered Nurse (RN) Single State - Nursing License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
