This Opportunity:

The primary responsibilities of the Nursing Supervisor, RI position are to oversee nurses and paraprofessionals who provide services, as well as provide direct nursing care to individuals who receive services from the Residential Division of Monarch. The Nursing Supervisor, RI will be responsible for supervision and implementation of treatment and supportive care as directed by the individuals primary care physician and his/her designees, according to program design and best practices.

What You'll Do:

•    Supervise RNs, LPNs and other direct care staff. Provide training and in-services for direct care staff to ensure best practice standards are consistently implemented.
•    Implement staffing patterns in a manner that best utilizes resources to meet state required staffing ratios.
•    Coordinate with the Talent Acquisition Team regarding temporary nursing agency staffing.
•    Conduct regional training to the direct care staff, including, but not limited to, medication administration, vital signs and seizures, diabetes, etc.
•    Ensure the implementation of safety measures by all direct care staff in all individual care activities.
•    Monitor equipment safety and communicate effectively and promptly with supervisor regarding the need for care equipment.
•    Audit charts and medication records to ensure compliance with agency and state standards.
•    Assess and document individual’s appropriateness for admission, level of functioning, health status, mental status, medical history, medications, medication compliance, and response to treatment.
•    Participate in the development of treatment plans, crisis plans, and discharge plans.
•    Ensure that people who need a higher level or different level of care are referred or placed.
•    Monitor individuals who are receiving services to ensure health and safety.
•    Carry out functions including crisis intervention, medication administration, assessment of vital signs, referral for emergency medical treatment as necessary, observation of individual response to medication and treatment, nursing assessment, treatment planning, crisis and aftercare planning, and submission of authorizations for treatment.
•    Remain available by telephone to receive doctor's orders and to assist Monarch staff with implementing new medical/medication orders for residential services.
•    Attend and actively participate in meetings and training as required. Maintain current licensure and certification in all agency, state and federal training requirements.
•    Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures, as well as service definitions related to specific program areas.
•    Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations.
•    Participate in on-call for situations arising after hours, weekends and holidays.
•    Ensure that physician orders and service definition guidelines for services being provided are followed.
•    Complete all other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
•    Driving and travel may be required.

Education We're Looking For:

Associates: Nursing (Required)

Certifications We're Looking For:

Drivers License (Valid) - USA, Registered Nurse (RN) - State Board of Nursing

Experience We're Looking For:

Experience working with adults with a mental health diagnosis and/or developmental disabilities, Supervisory Experience

Schedule:

Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the people we support. (40 hours/week; 3-4 days/week).
