Trinity Health Of New England is looking for Student Nurse Professional/Graduate Nurses to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators at Mercy Medical Center. The Student Nurse Professional/Graduate Nurse position is the result of a Massachusetts Chapter 88 of the Acts of 2024, authorizing graduates of an approved nursing program and individuals who are nursing students attending the last semester of an approved nursing program to practice nursing prior to obtaining licensure as a registered nurse. This authorization to practice is intended as an interim plan to allow recent graduates and senior students to work while they prepare for and take the NCLEX examination and apply for licensure.
The graduate may not practice under this authorization if they receive a failing score on the NCLEX examination.
This is an entry-level nursing position for New Graduate nurses and individuals who are senior nursing students in their last semester at a Board approved associates or baccalaureate nursing program.
Work Hours/Shift: Per Diem, Rotating Schedule
You Will Be Responsible For:
Under direct supervision of a licensed registered nurse, provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments. Consults with supervising RN to systematically assess the health care needs of individuals or groups to formulate a care plan, its implementation and evaluation.
Demonstrates the ability for decision making by integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience in caring for patients. Assists RN in administering medications or intravenous fluids to patients.

Develops a collegial and collaborative relationship with other health professionals to determine healthcare needs of patients and families. Learns to develop relationships with patients and families that maintain and communicate trust and respect, Communicates effectively in the exchange of information. Begins to demonstrate the ability to act as a patient advocate.
Demonstrates a commitment to patients, colleagues, and Mercy Medical Center. Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for own nursing practice and patient safety. The individual nursing practice reflects the goals of the Medical Center.
Requirements:
Education: Graduating/Graduate from/of an accredited School of Nursing.
Certification: BLS certification required.
Enrolled in their last semester or graduated from a board approved associates or baccalaureate nursing program.
