Children's Wisconsin has a wonderful opportunity for an Endocrine Nurse Clinician. This role supports our Gender Health Clinic.
Job Title: Endocrine Nurse Clinician- Gender Health
Hours: M-F, normal business hours; may be asked to stay until 5:30pm if supporting clinic in the afternoon

What you will do: In this role, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide specialized endocrine care to a variety of pediatric patients. This job consists of time spent both with patients doing education and injection visits as well as time spent in the office answering patient messages, calls, and requests for paperwork.
Responsibilities of Endocrine Nurse Clinician:
Manage the EPIC in-basket, faxes, emails, and phone calls
Refill medications
Complete prior authorizations and pre-determinations for medications and procedures
Complete school and travel plans for a variety of medications and conditions
Provide individualized education sessions to families giving injectable medication at home
Manage the sub-specialty clinics you are assigned. These include but are not limited to: gender health, PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), Turner’s syndrome, thyroid nodule, and DSD (Differences of Sexual Development)
Staff clinic as required by your sub-specialty clinic
Create folders for new patients
Schedule follow-up appointments
Provide medication reconciliation and refills
Assist with complex patient care needs that may arise during clinic
Minimum Job Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Nursing experience with the emphasis on managing patients with chronic and complex family and health needs
Associates degree in nursing
Current license to practice nursing in Wisconsin
Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
