Salary: $72,152.53 ​to $101,299.48 base salary per annum (pro-rata)

About the role:

Rankin Court Treatment Centre (RCTC) is a specialised unit providing treatment and care for people experiencing opioid dependence. We assist clients to improve their health and wellbeing by relieving craving, preventing withdrawal symptoms and reducing risks.

We achieve this by providing Opioid Treatment therapy, a pharmacotherapy intervention used to manage opioid dependence and reduce harms, as well as care coordination, and health information, based on a harm minimisation approach.

Working within a harm minimisation framework, the suitable candidate will take a clinical role within a multidisciplinary team in managing clients’ opioid dependency, and other psychosocial factors related to their health and welfare.

About you:

Are you a nurse with a passion for Drug and Alcohol Services, who would like to expand on your nursing skills and knowledge with experience in an acute setting. We're a team that's all about support and building on your strengths and if you feel the same, we are the team for you.

You will be providing patient care coordination through setting realistic short and long term goals and performing the appropriate interventions. You will be promoting and advocating for the best health outcomes with individual clients whilst providing opioid pharmacotherapy treatment.

Selection Criteria:

1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.

2. Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.

3. Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team showing effective communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment.

5. Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse.
