Job Description
This individual will provide oversight for portions of the Peri-Operative charges. Ensuring that all cases and supplies of the OR and PACU are charged accordingly. The Clinical Financial Analyst will confirm that surgical times and/or procedures are properly captured and charged. This individual will also work in collaboration with Revenue Integrity, Supply Chain and Compliance to validate and/or audit Perioperative Charges. As primary contact for when vendors bring in supplies, instrumentation and/or equipment this individual will work to verify that the invoices are correct and that supplies are charged for when appropriate.
Through data analysis this individual will analyze expenses, supply utilization, and provide guidance for cost saving opportunities. In collaboration with multidisciplinary professionals, this individual will work to consolidate the use of similar supplies, decrease cost, and improve outcomes.
Minimum Requirements
Graduation from an allied health program or the equivalent in a combination of education and OR clinical experience 3 years healthcare experience within Perioperative Services or Materials Management.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and assess data Demonstrated ability to determine corrective measures and identify trends
Proficient in use of computer hardware and system software; i.e. Excel and other Microsoft Office software
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to successfully use the hospital’s electronic financial database for charges. (Admission, Discharge, Transfer, Materials, Patient Accounts)
Bachelor of Science - Nursing
