As a Registered Nurse you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of SVCS Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast.

The Aspire Program was created in 2021, to foster and develop newly graduated or inexperienced nurses to learn essential skills and knowledge across residential aged care environments, to become rounded and equipped practitioners of the future.
Implementation of a structured ‘transition to practice’ year for Graduate Nurses ensures nurses are equipped with essential clinical skills, competence and character in developing nurses and emerging leaders.
A Mentorship program involves mentoring graduate nurses as they transition to practice. This program promotes and provides an opportunity for experienced nurses to become formal mentors, advisors, teachers, leaders.
In 2022, SVCS Aspire program won the 2022 InnovAgeing National Awards for the Category: Increasing Care and Service Productivity.

Things that work for us:
Nursing Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency is essential
Ability to work all shifts (including night shifts)
High level of customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Ability to follow directives as per care plan
Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.
