Job Description
Our Maintenance Reliability Team ensures that production and critical utility equipment run smoothly, we use engineering principles to analyze performance, improve maintenance strategies, and implement innovative solutions like predictive maintenance. By reducing downtime and optimizing equipment reliability, we play a key role in supporting the creation of life-saving medicines
How You Will Contribute:
- Develop the maintenance strategy, plans, SOPs, parts lists, BOMs and frequencies for new and modified equipment.
- Perform the review, improvement and update of Maintenance SOPs, Parts Lists, BOMs and CMMS data integrity for existing equipment
- Perform data analysis of corrective work orders in CMMS to identify trends and area focus for improvements
- Perform functional equivalency assessment of spare parts.
- Execute Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) improvement projects in assigned area.
- Support the implementation of predictive maintenance across the facility
- Identify cost/waste/energy reduction opportunities
- Report project and operational metrics
- May perform other duties as assigned
Internship Development Opportunities:
- Learn about equipment Failure and maintenance of major equipment at a pharma site
Job Requirements:
- This is an in-person position (5 days per week) located in Thousand Oaks, CA
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program
- Familiarity with cGMP and Biotechnology manufacturing operations such as Cell Culture, purification, aseptic filling, packaging, and their support systems such as CIP, SIP, HVAC, plant and clean utilities, is preferred
- Proficient computer skills and be experienced using MS Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and MS Project
- Strong interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team-based environment
- Must be organized and detail focused
- Familiarity with project management principles is a plus
- Able to operate with agility and a learning mindset so that we can accelerate breakthrough innovations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to perform effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
- Demonstrated success in delivering results in several technical challenges
Internship Eligibility
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
- Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2025 or later
- The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (June 2nd- August 29th) or (June 16th - August 22nd
- The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames
- Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates
- Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

$21.00 - $46.00
The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include:
