Job Description
Position Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Intern
Location: Tunis
Duration: 3 months (unpaid internship)
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Intern to assist with the closeout of The ACEA project.
The intern will be contributing to compiling and analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data, contributing to the preparation of the final project report.
Data Compilation and Analysis:
- Gather and organize project-related data from various sources (quantitative and qualitative).
- Perform data cleaning, validation, and analysis using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Synthesize qualitative data into actionable insights using thematic or content analysis.
- Identify and compile trends in data and report them to the MEL manager.
Support in Reporting:
- Assist in drafting and formatting sections of the final project report.
- Prepare visual presentations of data (graphs, charts, and tables).
- Ensure all documentation meets organizational and donor requirements.
- Assist in tracking and reporting on project indicators and performance.
Coordination and Collaboration:
- Work closely with project team members to collect and verify data inputs.
- Attend relevant team meetings to provide updates on M&E progress.
- Respond to queries and feedback from team members regarding data and findings.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
- Organize and maintain an archive of project data and evidence.
- Document lessons learned and best practices for future reference.
Qualifications
Education:
- Business Analysis/Business Intelligence, Data Science and Analytics, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with data analysis tools
- Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative analysis tools and methods
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Previous experience in a research or MEL-related internship is a plus
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret and synthesize complex datasets into meaningful insights.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
