Position Summary
Support the faculty investigator by assisting with the development and conducting of research projects, including safety compliance, ordering, equipment maintenance, data acquisition, data analysis, documentation of experimental results, assisting in writing scientific manuscripts, research proposals and reports.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Research: Conduct molecular biology experiments, including DNA/RNA purification, amplification, manipulation and synthesis. Perform data analysis to assist in the completion of research projects. Document results and create figures for presentations and publication.
- Administrative: Order laboratory supplies, assign to appropriate grant fund and ensure that they are received and recorded in laboratory inventory.
- Compliance: Ensure that safety protocols are followed and coordinate safety inspections. Update IACUC and IBC protocols as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or physics, or four years of equivalent education/experience in an engineering or sciences laboratory or research setting.
