The RN Clinical Expanded II is responsible for identifying, coordinating, and evaluating projects and assignments. This position provides clinical expertise, consultation, education and research to their designated area or specialty focus. This position serves as a change agent by accepting and facilitating change. The incumbent is proactive and assumes a clinical leadership position.Posting Specifics

- Shift Details: Part time (14 budgeted hours). Hours are TBD. Clinic hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm but this group may need to take call. Flexibility in available days of the week necessary to staff team appropriately.

- Additional Details: Highly skilled and specialized nursing role supporting multiple facets of Maternal Fetal Medicine requiring exceptional critical thinking and effective communication skills. Strong background in high-risk pregnancy strongly desired for this specialized role. Primary responsibilities include preparing and facilitating prenatal clinic for MM physicians. Typical OB office communication duties with patients including lab results, patient concerns, triage, and appropriate teaching. Ability to work independently as well as within small team to support multiple nursing responsibilities within highly coordinated department. Key responsibilities include traditional OB office tasks, administering outpatient medication and injections, coordinate and schedule OR procedures for MM cases, assist and support Diagnostic Center physicians and team with procedures, coordinate and attend fetal transfusion procedures in L&D, support MM physicians at outside locations with care coordination and scheduling.
Attention to detail is essential while simultaneously adapting to shifting priorities base on patient care needs and physician support.
-5+ years of L&D experienced highly valued, OR experiences beneficial, background in Women's Health strongly recommended .

Evaluates patient response to interventions through review of achievement of goals, clinical outcomes, patient and family satisfaction.
Revises plan of care as indicated and reassesses changes as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Current RN License in state of practice.
- BLS Certification for healthcare providers.
- Unit specific certification as required (i.e., ACLS, PALS, etc.).
- (Applicants must either have required additional certifications (e.g. ACLS, PALs, NRP) upon hire or must obtain them within a specified timeframe determined by service line and department guidelines.)
- RNs hired or promoted into this role need to have or obtain their BSN within three years of hire or promotion.
- Two years of clinical nursing experience.
- Experience in assigned clinical area.
- Leadership and mentoring experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
- Additional Details: NCC-certified, ultrasound-trained (BPP/AFI), 2 years of L&D experience, non-stress testing, or previous Maternal Fetal Medicine experience is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.

Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.

Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.

Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.

Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).
