Gundersen Health System is seeking a full-time RN, Professional Development Nurse (Nurse Educator) supporting our ambulatory and procedural care departments. What you will do:
Fulfill a 1.0 FTE, salaried position
Serves the following clinics, based in La Crosse with occasional coverage in Onalaska: Cardiology, Cardio testing, and Pulmonary
Evaluate nursing practice, assess practice gaps, identify learning needs, both within area of responsibility and at the system level

Facilitate professional role development and growth of nursing staff along the continuum from novice to expert!
Develop, implement, and evaluate the orientation and onboarding process for new staff
Support nursing education, competency, and professional development while "guiding by the side"
Act as a change agent and advocate while participating in system-wide process improvement work and projects
Collaborate with department-based leadership teams as well as a large group of Professional Development Nurses

What you need:
Bachelor's degree in nursing required upon hire + a master's degree in nursing required within five years of hire date
Minimum of 3-4 years RN experience or equivalent required; ambulatory experience preferred
Ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cardiology
RN licensure to practice in the state of Wisconsin upon hire
Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers
