Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), you will work collaboratively with physicians, patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized care that addresses the unique needs of each patient. Your contributions will be vital in fostering a supportive environment that promotes recovery and well-being.
Key Responsibilities of this LPN:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the chemical dependency unit.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Monitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and medication administration.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
This LPN will support our chemical dependency unit, assisting patients requiring mental health care in relation to substance abuse. The hours of this role will be 3:00PM - 11:00PM and working 56 hours every two weeks.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Current Licensed Practical Nurse licensure in the state of employment.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or obtained within 3 months of employment.
In accordance with Minnesota Rules 9530.6450 Subpart 1-B; all employees must be free of chemical use problems for at least one year immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact. Chemical use problems are defined as: Receiving treatment for chemical use within the period specified for the position in the staff qualification requirements. Chemical use that has a negative impact on the staff member's job performance; Chemical use that affects the credibility of treatment services with clients, referral sources, or other members of the community; and Symptoms of intoxication or withdrawal on the job.
