2025 Summer Intern - Peptide Therapeutics
Department Summary
The candidate will work in the department of Peptide Therapeutics. We are a small department using the most advanced peptide discovery technologies to build the next generation of peptide drugs.
This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site.
The Opportunity
Work in the lab and maintain proper lab practices.
Design and run mRNA display experiments.
Run and analyze next generation sequencing experiments.
Effectively communicate experimental results.

Program Highlights
Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
Program start dates are in May/June
A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.
Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.
Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.
Who You Are
Required Education
You meet one of the following criteria:
-Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree (enrolled student) OR
- Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student)
Required Majors
Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Medicinal Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related disciplines.
Required Skills
Basic skills in biochemistry
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
Candidates who are part of the GEM program are highly preferred.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in peptide display techniques (mRNA Display, Phage Display, & etc)
Previous experience with Tecan pipetting robots.
Proficient in NGS experiments and analysis
Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $25.00-$45.00 hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
