Our expectations:
The Engine Dynamics department is responsible for the qualification of turbomachinery (rotating and static) hardware subject to vibratory (normal unbalance) and transient (blade-off, ice shedding, bird-strike) loading.
The successful applicant will aid technical experts in expanding the current standard work to increase the fidelity and efficiency of engine dynamic modeling for the purpose of vibration prediction and engine architecture optimization.

This candidate will be primarily focused on the following:
- Executing finite-element analysis (mainly using NASTRAN transient solver, and existing rotor models)
- Postprocessing rig test data and analytical models, align simulation and test data
- Conclude on results commonality between different models and criticality of the various parameters used in analysis
- Basic knowledge of any of the finite element theory is essential
- Knowledge of MATLAB, Python will be considered an asset
What you need to be successful:
Must haves:
- Be eligible to work in Canada;
- Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship;
- Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired
- Pursuing a degree in a relevant field (Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering)
- Minimum 3rd year undergraduate student
