Registered Nurse (RN) –Pediatric SedationSchedule: Part Time Benefited M-F 8AM-1530PM Varies based on sedation schedule.
The Pediatric Unit at UMC Children’s Hospital is a 25 bed unit, serving patient’s ages 0-20. A nurse in our Pedi unit will be able to grow and learn in a team-oriented atmosphere where medical and surgical care is provided using a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach. Combining the talents of more than 30 specialists and subspecialists, children at UMC are treated for a wide range of needs that can include trauma, general surgery, cardiology, neurology and neurological surgery, oncology/ hematology, endocrinology, and burn care. The nurses on Pediatrics possess a desire to serve children and families in our service-oriented atmosphere.

Responsibilities
Must maintain a current CPR certification from American Heart Association
Provides professional nursing care to patients and provides supervision and guidance to the members of the nursing staff.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
Support the Pediatric Sedation Program
Maintain Chemo certification and compliance
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
Valid Texas RN License/Eligible Compact License
Minimum of 1 year of ICU or procedural experience.
PICU experience preferred
BSN Required or must obtain within 3 years.
